    Am I bullying you by pointing out that you should have said “lend” instead of “loan”?

      Yes. Further, I am being a bully by blaming it on the kid when I have no idea whether he used the right word or not.

        In all seriousness, I think the pendulum has swung too far the other way in regards to bullying.

        NJ, being a true-blue state, has passed strong anti-bullying legislation for schools. However, this ignores the fact that sometimes people just don’t like each other. To reduce most negative peer-to-peer interactions to bullying does disservice to actual bullying.

          I hear ya. I think the bigger problem at the moment is that the desire to Do Something is greater than what we’re willing to effectively do. It’s basically going to take a camera in every classroom and hallway to make real headway. Beyond that, I think you just have to look at the obvious and extreme cases.
