Well his roommate situation will be solved for many years at least.

    Man, what a horrible thing.

I remember a colleague of mine in grad school once commenting, “If ‘they’ (presumably: the police) could see everything we dreamed about, we’d all be in prison now.” Considering that ‘they’ can see most of what we post on social media…..

also this kind of thing is why I never want a roommate. It would be cheaper to have one and if I had a good one I’d be less lonely, but I’d be afraid of getting THAT type of person.

I feel generally fortunate I never had to play the roommate lottery. Both in college and after, I knew my roommates going in.

I wound up in a single my one year in the dorm. Lost in the lottery the next year, had the choice of living in the “party dorm” or taking an apartment. I was lucky I had the money to choose the apartment.

As an adult, I’ve never had to have a roommate and I hope I never have to, unless something utterly bizarre happens and I happen to marry or something. (Husbands are, after all, a type of roommate….)

Had a room mate burn down the house. Sad part is I knew him, was the one who got him to move in (4 bedroom) and got him to change habits to something that caused the fire.

    Boy did I feel stupid.
