Heebie-Geebie complains about fences being built around a nearby school playground.

Going through, my school did not have fences around its playground. You could walk on the premises freely.

And get ticketed for trespassing.

In light of that, I think fences are okay.

One Response to Fenced Playgrounds

  1. Peter says:

Lack of fencing has been an issue in some New York City parks. Parks typically have children’s playgrounds, which are off-limits to any adults not accompanied by children. While that rule makes sense, the problem is that the playgrounds are not always fenced off or clearly demarcated. There have been a number of incidents in which adults have been sitting on benches which they thought were ordinary park benches but actually were within the restricted playground zones, only to find themselves getting summonses. Men especially have sometimes found themselves being taken into custody on suspicion of being child molesters.
